Inventory Policy

ApexGoods tracks inventory for all products using Shopify's built-in system. Stock levels update automatically with each confirmed sale, return, or manual adjustment to prevent overselling.

  • Real-time tracking: Available quantities display on product pages and adjust instantly when orders are placed.

  • Fulfillment location: All inventory is managed from 22432 Yates Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60617, United States.

  • Stock accuracy: We conduct regular physical inventory counts and adjustments to maintain precise stock records.

Stock Availability

When browsing products:

  • In stock: Items showing "Add to cart" availability can be purchased immediately.

  • Low stock: Products with limited quantities may display a low-stock notice. These are available until sold out.

  • Out of stock: Items marked as unavailable cannot be purchased until restocked. Customers will see a notification to check back later or join a waitlist if offered.

We aim to restock popular items quickly, but specific timelines depend on supplier availability.

 

Inventory Policy Settings

ApexGoods uses the following Shopify inventory policy:

  • Continue selling when out of stock: Disabled. Orders cannot be placed for products with zero available inventory.

  • Track quantity: Enabled for all products and variants to maintain accurate stock levels.

  • Low stock threshold: Notifications trigger when stock falls below safe reorder levels, though exact thresholds vary by product demand and lead times.

This policy helps avoid backorders and ensures customers only purchase available items.

Pre-orders and Backorders

  • Pre-orders: Occasionally offered for high-demand items with confirmed restock dates. These will be clearly marked on the product page with expected fulfillment timelines.

  • Backorders: Not accepted. Out-of-stock items are removed from sale until replenished.

If a pre-order delays beyond the stated timeline, customers will be notified by email with updated information.

 

Low Stock and Restocking

  • Low stock alerts: Internal notifications ensure timely reordering before items sell out completely.

  • Restock notifications: Customers can request email alerts for out-of-stock items through product pages (when enabled).

  • Multiple locations: Currently, all inventory is centralized at our single Chicago fulfillment center.

Popular products typically restock within 7–14 days, though this varies by item and supplier. Check individual product pages for estimated restock dates when available.

 

Product Variants

Each product variant (such as size, color, or material) maintains separate inventory tracking:

Changes to Availability

ApexGoods reserves the right to:

  • Adjust inventory quantities based on physical counts or supplier updates

  • Temporarily remove products for maintenance or quality checks

  • Limit purchase quantities per customer during high-demand launches or promotions

We strive to maintain accurate stock information but cannot guarantee real-time availability during peak traffic periods.
